EU Taxonomy – consequences for shipowners, ship finance, reporting and future development
Arrangementsbeskrivelse
The EU has created a common classification system for sustainable economic activities – an EU taxonomy – by providing definitions to companies, investors, and policymakers. The backdrop is a desire to facilitate the EU’s climate and energy targets for 2030 and reach the objectives of the European Green Deal.
Yet, with any new system, comes questions about procedures, consequences, and future developments. Danish Shipping is therefore pleased to invite its members to a webinar on the EU taxonomy, as well as its consequences and meaning for the future.
We hope that you will welcome this opportunity to gain insights on the workings of the new taxonomy from speakers Katalin Dobranszky-Bartus, Director of Finance and Fiscal Affairs, ECSA, Sara Møller Jensen, Sustainability Officer, Danish Ship Finance, and Tobias Søttrup, Head of Financial Services Regulatory, PWC Financial Services, with moderator Jacob K. Clasen, Deputy Director General, Danish Shipping.
