Save the Date 21 October – Post-IMO MEPC event
In October 2025, the International Maritime Organization is expected to adopt the IMO Net-Zero Framework at its Extraordinary Session (MEPC/ES.2). This will – if adopted – be the first global regulatory framework that combines mandatory emissions limits and greenhouse gas pricing across an entire sector – a game-changer for the future of international shipping.
Danish Shipping is pleased to invite you to a post-IMO MEPC event where Minister for Industry, Business and Financial Affairs Morten Bødskov will also be present.
The formal programme will follow, but we encourage you to save the date already and sign up for the event.
Towards Zero
In 2020 Danish Shipping made a commitment towards zero emissions by 2050 and have been pushing for this vision by active participation in the development and the implementation of policies nationally, in EU and in the IMO.
The Danish government has been a strong ally in its commitment to achieving net-zero shipping by 2050, aligning with the International Maritime Organization (IMO) goals and the Paris Agreement. This celebration will pay due to tribute to those who have worked tirelessly to make the Net-Zero Framework a reality.
